The Icelandic Final was held at the RUV TV Studios in Reykjavik on March 21st, hosted by Hermann Gunnarsson. All of the songs were presented as pre-recorded video clips and the winner was chosen by the votes of 8 regional juries.

“Þú og Þeir” had it’s title changed to “Sókrates” for the ESC, where it came 16th. Pálmi Gunnarsson represented Iceland in ESC 1986 in the group Icy.
