The Swedish Final 1971 was sent on 27 February 1971 from the studio 2 TV building in Stockholm. Hostess was Lennart Hyland and the conductor was Claes Rosendahl . Backing Vocals consisted of Annica Risberg and Kerstin Dahl .
After the viewers got to decide the result of the 5 semi-finals was added to a jury of experts who would determine the outcome of the final. Thus streaked the regional jury of eleven districts this year. Each juror gave each competing melody between one and five points. This meant that the point total they could provide varied from juror to juror.
In the Finals all five competing songs were sung by Family Four, on the fact that they had won the five semi-finals.
